iPhone Feature Request: Copy ‘Skip Lock Screen’ feature from Google’s Pixel 4

Face Unlock on Google’s Pixel 4 is less secure than the iPhone’s Face ID, but it does have one feature I’d like to see Apple copy: Skip Lock Screen.

Copying that would be perfectly fair, as Google has recently confirmed that it will be copying at least part of Face ID’s Require Attention feature…


The Pixel 4 will copy Require AttentionLike Apple’s iPhone X, XS, and 11, Google’s new flagship Pixel 4 smartphone can unlock by recognizing your face. However, the company quickly came under fire when it was revealed that the device can be unlocked even when the owner is asleep, simply by someone else holding it up to their face.

With iPhones, there is a Requires Attention toggle. When this is on, your iPhone will only unlock if your eyes are open and you are actually looking at the screen. Google has now said that it plans to copy at least the first part of this requirement.

 Editorial digital entertainment Telltale Games and Robert Kirkman, the Eisner Award-winning creator and writer of The Walking Dead for his Skybound imprint at Image Comics, announced today the launch of The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season - A series of Telltale Games and The Walking Dead: Season Two - a series Telltale Games; both available now in stores and retail for download on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for the first time in North America, and is available in Europe on October 31. Retail editions will also be available first on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

The Walking Dead is set in the world of the award-winning comic book series by Robert Kirkman and offers a gaming experience tailored emotionally charged where actions and decisions of a player affects how the story plays throughout the series.

"Since the release of the series in 2012, the team has been incredibly proud to continue breaking new ground in the art of interactive theater as part of the award-winning world of Robert Kirkman," said Kevin Bruner, President and Co-Founder of Telltale Games. "Now available in more than six thousand mobile devices console, the Xbox and PlayStation 4 One formats usher in a greater scope of Telltale, and are excited to be preparing players around the world for an exciting third season which is to come. "

To date, the series has sold more than 39 million episodes worldwide, with its first season earning over 90 Game of the Year awards from outlets including Metacritic, USA Today, Wired, Spike TV VGAs, Yahoo!, The Telegraph, Mashable, Polygon, Destructoid and GamesRadar, and has also received two BAFTA Video Games Awards for Best Story and Best Mobile Game.

The second end of the season was met with critical acclaim in the press, with IGN.com awarded the Editor's Choice episode 9.5 out of 10 rating, calling it "provocative, painful and unforgettable," saying: "This is perhaps . the most harrowing and tense episode of Telltale nothing has ever made How Clementine prepares for the impact of everything in front of it depends on you - and where it has left me in awe. The Walking Dead: Season Two - Serie A Telltale Games continues the story of Clementine, an orphan girl from the beginning of the apocalypse undead, left to survive in a world gone mad. Players will struggle to outwit the dead and the living in situations that will test your morality and control the flow of the story through the choices they make.

The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season has "M" (Mature) for Blood and Gore, Drug Reference, Intense Violence, Sexual Themes, Strong Language and the ESRB. The Walking Dead: A Telltale Games Series - Season Two has an "M" (Mature) Blood and gore, intense violence, strong language, suggestive themes, use of alcohol and snuff and the ESRB rating.
