No way to move forward now.
What you need to know
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is the latest entry in the massive first-person shooter franchise.
- Today, it looks like many players are being affected by a new bug in the game's multiplayer mode.
- The bug causes the game to not track the players' stats or progress at all.
- Infinity Ward, the developers of Modern Warfare, have acknowledged the bug and are investigating a fix.
The bug has been going on since at least this afternoon, and Infinity Ward is still investigating potential fixes. Hopefully players who are still in the game will be able to retrieve all their lost progress, since the biggest appeal of Call of Duty's infamous multiplayer mode is the nearly endless number of ways players can track their achievements and history in the game. We'll update this article as soon as we have more information, but there doesn't appear to be any real solution for this. If you're worried about losing progress, it might be best to stay off the game for a few hours while Infinity Ward finds a fix. We’re currently tracking an issue where XP is not being awarded after matches. Our teams are investigating and we’ll provide another update when we have more information. Thank you for your patience.— Infinity Ward (@InfinityWard) March 8, 2020
