This is the best phone under $200 you can get during Prime Day

Stupidly cheap and stupidly good.

We don't like saying it, but Prime Day is just about over. There are only a few hours left to pick up any deals you haven't already, and that includes all of the smartphone savings that we've seen. If you only have around $200 to spend on your next phone and aren't sure what to get, there's one Prime Day deal you have to act on — the Moto G Fast.

Moto G Fast | $55 off at Amazon

$145 at Amazon

It's hard to believe that you can buy a decent Android phone for this cheap, but thanks to the Moto G Fast, you absolutely can. It offers a 6.4-inch HD display, great performance, 32GB of expandable storage, three rear cameras, and excellent battery life. Its retail price of $200 is already fantastic, but thanks to Prime Day, it's even better with a $55 discount. What are you waiting for?

The Moto G Fast was released earlier this year, and even outside of Prime Day, it's a great value. It has a retail price of just $200, but if you buy it while Prime Day is still going on, it'll be yours for a mere $145. One might think that's way too cheap to get an Android phone that's worth a darn, but the Moto G Fast manages to be a thoroughly enjoyable handset that you can't pass up on at this new all-time low price.

Perhaps one of the most impressive things about the Moto G Fast is its build quality. Despite being as cheap as it is, the G Fast is a substantial and well-built device. It doesn't creak at all, has a subtle texture on the back, and feels great in the hand. It's also equipped with a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB-C charging, and has expandable storage through a microSD card.

As its name implies, the Moto G Fast is also, well, pretty fast when it comes to most tasks. It's powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor and 3GB of RAM, and whether you're scrolling through Twitter, checking emails, or watching all of your favorite YouTubers, everything feels snappy and responsive. Surprisingly, you can even play graphically-intense games like Call of Duty: Mobile without too much trouble.

When you're doing all of that, you're interacting with the Moto G Fast's 6.4-inch HD display. It has good colors, offers plenty of room without being too big, and everything generally looks quite good. It isn't the sharpest resolution we've ever seen, but for the price, there's not much room to complain.

How does the rest of the Moto G Fast hold up? Its three rear cameras are perfectly suitable for sharing pictures on social media, the 4,000 mAh battery means you can get through two days of use on a single charge, and you even get a fingerprint sensor for securely unlocking your banking apps/password managers.

The Moto G Fast works with every U.S. carrier, so regardless if you have AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, or anyone else, the G Fast should work without a hitch — just how we like it.

This Prime Day deal won't be around for much longer, so if you're interested, you better act fast.

More posts by this contributor What Studying Students Teaches Us About Great Apps I’ll admit it: When it comes to food, I’m lazy. There are dozens of great dining options within a few blocks of my home, yet I still end up ordering food through delivery apps four or five times per week. With the growing coronavirus pandemic closing restaurants and consumers self-isolating, it is likely we will see a spike in food delivery much like the 20% jump China reported during the peak of its crisis. With the food delivery sector rocketing toward a projected $365 billion by the end of the decade, I’m clearly not the only one turning to delivery apps even before the pandemic hit. Thanks to technology (and VC funding) we can get a ri

Slack’s new integration deal with AWS could also be about tweaking Microsoft

Slack and Amazon announced a big integration late yesterday afternoon. As part of the deal, Slack will use Amazon Chime for its call feature, while reiterating its commitment to use AWS as its preferred cloud provider to run its infrastructure. At the same time, AWS has agreed to use Slack for internal communications. Make no mistake, this is a big deal as the SaaS communications tool increases its ties with AWS, but this agreement could also be about slighting Microsoft and its rival Teams product by making a deal with a cloud rival. In the past Slack CEO Stewart Butterfield has had choice words for Microsoft saying the Redmond technology giant sees his company as an “existential threat.” Whether that’s true or not — Teams is but one piece of a huge technology company — it’s impossible not to look at the deal in this context. Aligning more deeply with AWS sends a message to Microsoft, whose Azure infrastructure services compete with AWS. Butterfield didn’t say that of course
