This Black Friday sale brings the Galaxy S20 FE to its lowest price ever

Out of all the Android phones released in 2020, one that stands out as something special is the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE. The elevator pitch for the phone is that it gives you the same great experience found on the $1000 Galaxy S20, but for hundreds of dollars less.

The S20 FE is a great deal all year round at its retail price of $700, but right for an early Black Friday sale, it's discounted by $150 — bringing the final price down to just $550. That's the lowest we've ever seen for the S20 FE, making this one of the best Android deals you'll find this shopping season.

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE | $150 off at Amazon

$550 at Amazon

The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE is one of the absolute best Android phones released in 2020, and thanks to this insane Black Friday sale, it's now available for its lowest price ever. With features like a 120Hz display, Snapdragon 865 processor, and great cameras, the S20 FE is very much so a flagship smartphone. At just $550 during Black Friday, it's one of the best deals we've seen yet.

$550 is still a lot of money for some people to spend on a new phone, so what all are you getting with the Galaxy S20 FE? Here's a quick recap.

Starting first with the display, the S20 FE boasts a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED panel with a 2400 x 1080 resolution. In addition to vibrant colors and a crisp image, you're also treated to a 120Hz refresh rate for buttery smooth animations for everything you do on the phone. We're also quite smitten with the flat edges of the display, which make the S20 FE much easier to use compared to some of Samsung's more expensive handsets with curved ones.

At the heart of the S20 FE is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 — the same exact chip found in $1000+ Samsung phones released earlier this year. You also get 6GB of RAM, 128GB of expandable storage, and a 4,500 mAh battery that allows for very good battery life. In the photography department, the S20 FE's 12MP primary, 12MP ultra-wide, and 8MP telephoto cameras all perform very good and kick out great-looking shots.

There have been a lot of generous Samsung Galaxy deals for Black Friday, but if you ask us, this latest one for the S20 FE is the most impressive yet. Being able to get a flagship Android phone for just $550 is kind of mind-blowing, so if you're in need of an upgrade and want something that'll provide an enjoyable experience for years to come, you can't do much better than this.

We don't expect this $150 discount on the Galaxy S20 FE to last for long, so if you're at all interested in the phone, we recommend acting fast!

The hidden cost of food delivery

There are dozens of great dining options within a few blocks of my home, yet I still end up ordering food through delivery apps four or five times per week. With the growing coronavirus pandemic closing restaurants and consumers self-isolating, it is likely we will see a spike in food delivery much like the 20% jump China reported during the peak of its crisis. With the food delivery sector rocketing toward a projected $365 billion by the end of the decade, I’m clearly not the only one turning to delivery apps even before the pandemic hit. Thanks to technology (and VC funding) we can get a ri

Slack’s new integration deal with AWS could also be about tweaking Microsoft

Slack and Amazon announced a big integration late yesterday afternoon. As part of the deal, Slack will use Amazon Chime for its call feature, while reiterating its commitment to use AWS as its preferred cloud provider to run its infrastructure. At the same time, AWS has agreed to use Slack for internal communications. Make no mistake, this is a big deal as the SaaS communications tool increases its ties with AWS, but this agreement could also be about slighting Microsoft and its rival Teams product by making a deal with a cloud rival. In the past Slack CEO Stewart Butterfield has had choice words for Microsoft saying the Redmond technology giant sees his company as an “existential threat.” Whether that’s true or not — Teams is but one piece of a huge technology company — it’s impossible not to look at the deal in this context. Aligning more deeply with AWS sends a message to Microsoft, whose Azure infrastructure services compete with AWS. Butterfield didn’t say that of course
