Update, March 16 (5:40 pm ET): TechRadar reports that Amazon should have the PS5 in-stock on Thursday, Match 18. They did not reveal an exact time as to deter scalpers and bots.
You'll have plenty of chances to buy a PS5 this week from Amazon. TechRadar's Matt Swider, who's been diligently tracking PS5 stock and helped thousands get a hold of the elusive console, says that Amazon should be dropping nearly 50,000 PS5 units. Swider's teamed up with YouTuber Jake Randall to track the stock, which he says should hit the retailer sometime this week.

Be sure to download the app as well because you may not be at your computer when stock drops. These sell out within minutes, so every seconds counts here.
While some stores drop stock in waves at 10 or 30-minute intervals, it's unclear what Amazon plans to do. If you get an error in the checkout process or it says that the system sold out, just keep trying. Stock like this is finnicky and store pages can act up when thousands of people are trying to buy a PS5 all at once.

TechRadar now reports that Amazon should have the PS5 in-stock after 10am this morning. Keep checking back to see when they go live. It's unclear if the Digital Edition and regular PS5 will drop at the same time or at separate times soon after one another.
And if you see PS5 consoles being priced at over $1,000, don't panic. Those are third-party sellers you shouldn't buy from. Wait until the official drop comes from Amazon at $500 and $400.
Update, March 16 (5:40 pm ET) — Amazon will have the PS5 in-stock on Thursday, March 18
According to TechRadar, Amazon is getting its stock of 46,000 PS5 consoles on Thursday, March 18. Unfortunately, sources could not confirm the breakdown between the PS5 Digital Edition and the regular PS5. TechRadar notes that the last time Amazon had a restock on March 3, the company only had 38,000 units to sell. As for an exact time on Thursday, TechRadar is keeping that close to its chest so bots don't scoop in.
