Before we start, you need to know this "This process only works with Intel-based PCs". Now all you have to Android remote keyboard app and software.

How to set up Intel Remote Keyboard

  1. Download Intel Remote Keyboard on your Android device or tablet.
  2. Download and install the Intel Remote Keyboard host on your Windows PC. You will need to choose x86 or x64 depending on their windows. If you are not sure what you are, there are four simple ways to know if you are on a 64-bit version of Windows.
  3. (Important: Make Sure Your Android and Windows devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.)
  4. on your Android phone, tap the Windows device name.
  5. Your Windows PC will now show a large QR code. Scan only with your Android smartphone's camera (according to the instructions on the screen and the two devices together.
  6. You'r all set!

What you can do:

Intel keyboard looks much like any Android keyboard

the app is basically a virtual trackpad and keyboard for your computer. You can use it in portrait or landscape format.

In portrait mode, your screen is divided into the area of trackpad on the top and the keyboard at the bottom. Intel's keyboard looks much like any Android keyboard, but it also has a windows key, an ESC key and the four arrow keys.

Stuff which should have been there:

there could be some advanced controls to optimize the system. First of all, there is no continuous scrolling" , which means that they must touch scroll button repeatedly to scroll up to a large distance. Secondly: there is no "Direct Volume Control" , because it is always cheaper, adjust the volume using a special key as for the use of the mouse. We expect that these features will be included in the next update.

The LG G4 placed fourth at a considerable distance behind the podium. 1 of 10 voters took him as your phone of the year, but this is not a bad result when you think about it. how to speed up an android phone? (lag causes and how to fix them)

Presence of a malware or virus

Delays are some of the general and eternal questions plaguing Android devices. This occasional slow performances, App freezes, and delays in the Touch Response issued by your device will reduce the overall productivity. We will take a look at the five reasons why it works, and enter your own take on solutions to solve.

Too many applications running, Hog your memory

Too many applications running, Hog your memory

is it possible that there are too many applications running in the background, which consumes a lot of memory. This can really believed that if you have many applications installed and your phone is equipped with low-end-specs. It is also possible that your smartphone is slowed down after one or two days of operation without turning your device.

Solution: apps running in the background. In order to prevent them from running behind the scenes, go to Settings > Apps then swipe two times to run and select an app. From each app's menu allows you to force close or exit the application from running to free up space. If you do not want to try that and crash your app permanently in the process, you can choose to restart your phone.

If this does not work, try a few apps that can freeze (Titanium Backup Pro) or the sleep state (Greenify) other memory hogging apps to permanently rid your RAM. You can also examine alternative apps to replace the feature-filled heavy weights. Some have already been introduced to diluted versions (such as Facebook lite), and there are some that offer alternatives to official apps.

Low internal memory

Low internal memory

if you would like to install many apps or addicted to social media and you have little space, the dreaded "memory low" registration, may be on your notifications a few times. From this point on, several of your smartphone is essential functions such as e-mail have been disabled until you are able to maximize your free space.

Solution: Clear cache of applications. The biggest culprit of low internal memory is the extended use of applications that too much storage cache like Facebook and Instagram. , to delete it, go to Settings > Applications, click on the application from the list of downloaded applications and select "Delete Cache". As our recommendation mentions, you also receive a more efficient applications that are available on the market to reduce the storage footprint.

If this is not enough, you can use the applications on your microSD card, if your phone supports it. At the same place, you can use the application data on your card. You can Utility Apps such as App2SD to move,. Some preinstalled applications on their devices may not have this feature and you can see that the option is grayed out.

Outdated software

Outdated software

a likely cause of delay is outdated software. This happens when the system itself suffers from bugs and glitches, or in some cases, comes from side loaded applications in our devices. Since this side loaded apps are not downloaded from Google save game, you looped through from the future update cycles, makes them susceptible to error messages.

Solution: Update your system and/or application to the latest version. New updates, other than introducing new features, can often provide bug fixes and improvements to the software plaguing questions.

Games for long hours

Games for long hours

playing graphics-intensive games on our smartphones uses the maximum processing of the phone hardware, and that is the reason why our phones heat much. This also leads to that of moderate to severe was especially after the game.

Solution: rest of your device for a few minutes to play to cool. If it still lags to start the phone automatically free up RAM memory.

Presence of a malware or virus

Nokia C1 smartphone leaks again, could you two operating systems: Android and Windows 10 mobile

The alleged Nokia C1 Smartphone has made its way back online
The alleged Nokia C1 Smartphone has made its way back online, leaking into a fascinating new. The latest leak shows the handset under Android and Windows 10 Mobile, which is definitely interesting.(Photo: Nokia Power User )

Two smartphone operating systems

New Leaked images claim to show the alleged Nokia C1, reveals two operating systems for the unannounced handset: Android and Windows 10 mobile.

The elusive Nokia C1 leaked multiple so far, but it has yet to materialize and its formal debut. No official information available on the device, so that what we have so far on the alleged Nokia C1, including the latest leaked rendering, is still in the rumor condition. That said, Take everything with a grain of salt.

The picture above is from Nokia Power Users (NPU), the claims that it is the first time it has information from the owner in question. The publication also shows that there can be no guarantee of the authenticity of the work.

While the alleged Nokia C1 has expired in the past, the new rendering is particularly interesting because it shows two operating systems off of the handset. Earlier reports indicated a Android-powered Nokia C1, but the new image also shows a Windows 10 mobile version of the smartphones (seen on the right side behind the Z-launcher).

"Nokia brings Android Route, which we have heard, because it allows you to use the Z launcher as OS-UI level. While the render has Android version with Z Launcher UI, it looks like a nice concept as a real deal", NPU further points from.

As a reminder, Microsoft Nokia mobile unit a while back and the Finnish company is still bound by an agreement with Microsoft, which prevents it from the release of any new phone until next year. As soon as this agreement expires in the year 2016, however, Nokia will be able to return to the market for smartphones. At the same time it is worth mentioning that the deal ends in the fourth quarter of next year, so perhaps it is not until 2017 that we actually see a new Nokia smartphone on the market.

In this sense, the Render seems even more confusing. The possibility of a new Nokia C1 smartphone with two operating systems or come in two versions, each with a different OS, is not too unlikely but it is still too early to know what for sure. The design of the new leak also distinguishes itself from the design, the previously leaked, particularly if it is the location of the cameras.

He is still pretty bleak for now, but more information should come to light soon enough if the Finnish company is in fact work on a Nokia C1. In the meantime, a healthy degree of scepticism is recommended.

The 10 best smartphone you can buy now

pick the best smartphone in the world is always a) incredibly hard and b) super fun. Fortunately. Since this is an iOS-centric site, you expect a Apple iPhone with the number 1 and they were right. But this is not sycophantic - in my other life as a producer and presenter of the phones show I do regularly top 5 features - and an iPhone is always in the top, because it is a top specced telephone, can be recommended as a response to the question "What should I buy a phone" without real precautions or possible recriminations. There are multiple iPhones here, plus more Android units, of course. And I would like to still stuck in one of the new flagship Lumias, with the exception that you still have a week away. Maybe next time.

Oh yes, and its rules of procedure. It would be a bit crazy to allow multiple iPhones in the exact same form factor in the top 10. So I do not allowed me to have both the "6s" and "6", for example. Ditto for the '6s Plus". It would be almost as bad as so that all the various storage variations! And I am not about colors and some of the Android phones are variations of one type or other - for the Top 10, reason will prevail!

As the criteria for the Top 10, it raw functionality, style and a solidly built, it is well supported software, flexibility and to a certain degree, value. But I have not let money cut too far - after all, almost every Android flagship is £200 cheaper a year (and sometimes even six months down the road), so if something is too expensive, then you just have to be patient! The prices for the Apple Iphone, of course, rarely change - but the helps at the other end of the property at the time of sale, in accordance resale value high.

10. Samsung Galaxy Note 4

starting with the Samsung Galaxy note 4, by some way the oldest smartphone in the top 10 but with very good reason. You can see that it is the last one of the "classical" Galaxy Reference line with the flexibility to many tendons: top specs all laps with replaceable battery and microSD expansion. With a device such as a note, it is a professional tool that needs with which you through thick and thin and i lost, the number of owners (including me) the note II., 3. and 4. Devices that are several batteries replace in a long and hard day. Yes, the industry seems to be floating in the direction of the sealed devices, a charge led in the last seven years from Apple but plug-in not charging devices, but good, non-game from 0% to 100% in 30 seconds by surcharges in a battery, made from a bag.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4

Away from the flexibility angle, the note 4 was the era of the QHD screen resolution, 3GB RAM, OIS and 4K video capture to a phone features, since more and more frequently. With the improved pin also the Note 4 had the game in the form of checklists geek. Heck, you can even clip on a qi-laden back to this as well.

9. Samsung Galaxy S6

Love 'em or hate 'em, than with the note 4 above that you cannot ignore the Samsung Galaxy range and the S6 (and his 'Edge' version, also shown below) a reboot from the appalling plas ticky (think of the elasto-plastic back?) The Galaxy S5 - a very decent phone in a $10 plastic housing. That Samsung decided to jet ison the replaceable battery and expandable memory as part of the reboot is regrettable (the latter will probably go for the S7 in the next year), but on the bright side we are now discussing a slim, iPhone-Style Metal unibody design, absolutely sees the part in 2015.

Comes for the ride is a surprisingly good camera, with OIS as in note 4 above, but further refined. The allied QHD AMOLED display, the S6 is something like an imaging power package. Touchwiz remains a bit annoying, but many of its features are really useful (e.g. hide applications in the App Drawer that you do not use) and at least some of the Samsung bloat is now preventable.

Samsung Galaxy S6

Better still, the fingerprint scanner now works properly, in contrast to the parody of the "5" indicates the full Qi and PMA wireless charging, plus the price of the S6 has fallen dramatically since the market introduction - there is not much cheaper than it is now and a good price-performance ratio.

8. Apple iPhone 5s,

what on earth is a 2013 Smartphone do in this mix? Good question. It is all about the form factor and features. Not everyone wants a great phone and most of the devices on this page have a screen that is 5.2 or greater. Excellent for playback of media and surf the web, but not so good when it comes to property and on the smartphone with one hand and not so good for tucking it unobtrusively into any pocket. Add the Apple Design 2014/2015 language (You can see the 6s below, don't worry), which is the form factor is all curves and there are still many fans of the straight-sided aluminum design that came with iPhone 5. (i would go so far that the steel version (4/4s) two years previously was more evident, but thicker and also had the glass back that most users ended devastating.)

Apple iPhone 5s

So, with the admittedly subjective point of view that the iPhone 5 Design is the 'best', in terms of compactness and pure density of the technology that is obviously a to plump for the iPhone 5s. This is the version with fast internals, much better camera (larger pixels to a larger aperture, "True Tones" dual-LED flash) and fingerprint sensor integrates the home key, all relative to the iPhone 5. For everything to do with security and authorisation (e.g. Apple pays), then the 5S is the starting point in the Apple iPhone family. And in contrast to the rule about Apple in the rule is not the lowering of prices, the 5S has in fact come down, all new, from £549 to £379 in the UK in the meantime two years. It is the cheapest way to get a fully functional new iPhone now. It is also generally available second hand, if the price is really a problem

7. Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

another Samsung - that the three in the Top 10! There is a real 'wow' factor on the Samsung Galaxy edge (and yes, the small letter "e" is the official!) designs - held in the hand and especially artily photographed in dim room(!), they are breathtaking. In daily use, the phone is essentially identical to the galaxy S6 above, of course, and many of the same advantages and disadvantages, except that this is beautiful.

And great, I have the conveyor belt for the newer 'Edge' - it was against the rules to both variants have exactly the same size of the telephone and if you go all funny and have a curved front and flat back then why not everything in the form factor? The edge has a 5.7" screen by pushing it firmly into the "phablet' category, but without the stylus. But you do not need one, so again…. Why not?

Camera, processor, resolution, charging options, everything follows the established Galaxy S6 Pattern - the only exit is the welcome addition of an extra gigabytes of RAM - Samsung TouchWiz on QHD shielded devices too little was shown on a regular basis. This top of the line round - and also to purchase top dollar - but you knew that already, correct?

6. Sony Xperia Z5

after numerous redesigns and design iterations that we finally have the ultimate Sony Xperia - and it is a good "un. Beautiful design, excellent materials, a full 5.2" 1080p screen, a killer, camera and, crucially, 3GB RAM, whereas in the previous Xperias (and even the Z5 Compact) had to make do with 2GB. This makes all the difference in terms of performance and future security.*

* there is now also a Z5-premium, available in the next week or two, but this is much more expensive and has a crazy over-the-top 800 ppi screen - this is only appeal to foreign peoples with advanced vision as a mere human…

Sony Xperia Z5

the other internals impress - Front-mounted stereo speakers, 'super sampling' camera and an excellent site fingerprint scanner. I quibble about the lack of qi charge, but then the Z5 supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 so that it is certainly not a deal breaker. The light of the nature of Sony Skin Android, the super power saving options (two days to a fee should be attainable), and the relative resistance to dust and water, all make the Z5 is a very good choice.

5. LG G4

there is an argument that the LG G4 is loaded with a heavy proprietary skin that there is too much plastic that is too expensive (it is not more, 6 months down the road, although) that the control keys are in the wrong place (on the rear side, but you do get used to them) that it… LG. But the company would come well in recent years and the G4 marks the point at which the technology as shoehorned in was impressive to ignore.

LG G4

LG was one of the companies defends QHD resolution screens and in the G4 there is also a completely new level of expertise in the areas of imaging, with detail even in low-light conditions, the excellent, thanks to the next generation of OIS, laser autofocus, a special 'color spectrum sensor' and a relatively large f/1.8 aperture. Also six months after its introduction, the competition has not yet caught up - if smartphone photography is your thing, then look no further.

LG G4 back

General specifications are also super, with a perfectly pitched Snapdragon 808 (no overheating) and 3GB of RAM plus some unique features in the 2015 Smartphone Flagship Canon - replaceable battery and microSD expansion - this is the flexible phone, Samsung owner of the past (and even the note 4 above) might want to gravitate. That the rear covers come in a variety of textures including Genuine leather) adds additional interest to an already impressive smartphone

4. Google Nexus 6P

Google Nexus 6P

Nexus 6P is the perfect…premium Nexus always released by Google since the foundation of the brand. After the use of potato camera for years on the Nexus smartphones, Google has finally get around to give what Android users have wanted for eons: Nexus a smartphone with a large camera and build quality. The aero grade aluminum chassis of the 6P exudes quality, although it is probably not necessarily survive a bend test.

The Nexus Imprint fingerprint scanner is located on the rear side is super fast and precise, while the front stereo speakers to play media on the 6P a joy to use. The iPhone 6s Plus may be better than the Nexus 6P in many aspects, but there are a few areas in which Apple can take some of the suggestions from the latter for the iPhone 7.

3. Apple iPhone 6S

Apple's challenge in 2014 was to come up with a way to bring much larger screens in the iPhone is a line-up that matching what Android world had been doing for years. A larger version of the existing aluminum unibody design would have been too heavy and would have felt "too large" in the hand, so Jony Ive and his team placed for curved edges rounded corners and a thinner profile as a whole. This meant that a 4.7" display (from 4") could be achieved with only 17g more weight. Finally the iPhone section could stand high with the best Android in the form factor and expectations.

The iPhone 6 has been a bestseller, of course, but the durability issues showed that Apple had perhaps diluted from aluminum just a little too much, plus another year of development enables the 6s, published a few months ago, have a faster internals, an even better camera again to an even faster Fingerprint Sensor, and - yes - more aluminum where it counts to the improvement of the robustness.

Apple iPhone 6s

The biggest innovation for the 6s was the addition of an additional screen layer, the introduction of 3D-touch" in the world, a way of adding peek and pop pressure-driven gestures in the iOS interface. It is early days in the application support for this technology, but it is show promise - see my full review for more details

2. Samsung Galaxy Note 5

Note 5 is a strange animal, but enormously high end as you would expect from the original phablet range, the Samsung used to test and showcase their latest technologies. And yes, the still includes an intelligent pin, here is better than ever. The 5.7"-QHD AMOLED display is breathtaking, the exynos processor and 3GB of RAM to produce super power, the camera is even better than in the galaxy S6 series mentioned (even if not completely on the G4's level), the structure is completely out of metal and glass - and in any case premium. Shaped curves around the pages (on the rear) make the phone easier to maintain than in previous Galaxy notes.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5

The fishing, as is well known, that the traditional note replaceable battery and customer support for the expansion card is… gone. With the aim of the restart of the banknote series as a premium design - hey, it even comes, as shown here in an iPhone-esque 'pink gold'! This is a problem for hardcore fans note, but then you can stick to the note 4, mentioned above, and are almost as a stellar experience so that maybe everyone at the end wins.

It makes little sense to chatter by further specifications, since the Note 5 has the lot to Qi or PMA wireless charging, depending on the market. And it is the market itself, is the limitation of note 5 now, because it is not officially available in large pieces of the world, including the United Kingdom, where this humble author lives.

1. Apple iPhone 6s Plus

with 5.5" screen option, Apple opens up the world of the iPhone to a whole range of new experiences. The "phablet" (Phone Tablet!) have been market expansion for a few years and the iPhone 6 plus was a great success, so iPhone owners are you into a world of glorious 1080p media and high resolution renders web page with absolutely zero load on the eyes. And as for the 6-to- 6S, 6s Plus accepts the new installations, the better camera, the faster a fingerprint scanner and the 3D-Touch functionality. Oh and the 6s Plus is also a much stronger, with the original 6 Plus, have been the most at risk from "miscreant bend-gate' antics.

Apple iPhone 6s Plus

But the size is only a part of the 6 Plus proposition and the same applies for 6s Plus. In addition to the higher resolution and superior OIS-camera, iOS itself works differently - almost everything (including the Home screen system) now works in landscape format to match a larger telephone, you may want to use in this way, for the viewing of media or, as shown below, for getting things done, with the help of a Bluetooth keyboard:

Apple iPhone 6s Plus Bluetooth keyboard

With an iPhone 6s Plus in this manner is eye-opening - not, you may want to iOS in this way on a phone all the time, but to know that it is possible and only on the 6 Plus and 6s Plus is only really very cool.

The larger size plus the additional aluminum for the strengthening, plus the 3D slices touch, they all have an influence on the weight, but it is worth it. This is a solid and large lumps in each case, but also a really capable of mini tablet computer, disguised as a mere "telephone". This and have to be proud of.

Marshmallow 6.0.1 already hitting Android one devices

Marshmallow 6.0.1 already suggest Android one devices

now that marshmallow (Android 6.0) has been around for several weeks, it is not surprising that there is already an update 6.0.1 suggest some devices. In this particular case, said devices are select an Android handsets. According to reports, only a limited number of users have received the update, but so far. Take a look:

Android 6.0.1 become available for Android One

after a Google search, the model number is listed, H220 is the cherry mobile Android G1 for the Philippines. Strangely enough the Android Security patch level is from 1. December 2015 Despite today not only November 22, 2015. Provided that the roll-out is not a mistake, it seems to imply that Google has already finalized the updated integrated voice patch despite this month, just over one week left.

There is currently no information as to what this 6.0.1 update brings with it, but the general assumption about the Internet is that it closely with fixes and improvements of stability.

Phone Arena has reported that "HTC ROM Developer @LlabTooFeR has it, after 6.0.1, Google plans to roll out Android 6.1 Marshmallow, although this is likely to happen from next year." Assuming this is true, it would raise the question of whether Google release 6.0.1 to other equipment (e.g. the Nexus series) simply directly to 6.1.

We have more to this story as it develops, but now let us all our eyes open for any updates that may be the country in the next few weeks.

Samsung now warns users not insert pen wrong way in Galaxy Note 5

Galaxy Note 5

If you use a Samsung Galaxy Note 5, not insert the pin the wrong way. Samsung will now tell you so much with a new warning message.

after it was revealed that inserting the S stylus on the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 backwards would permanently damage the phone, Samsung responds by sticking a warning on the packaging, reports tech times. The warning is printed on the plastic screen protector that protects the screen in the packaging.

In previous iterations of the galaxy note, Samsung made it impossible for the S Pen inserted in its bracket back by connecting one end of the S Pen is larger than the other. For the galaxy note 5, Samsung has with this design, making it possible to insert the S Pen either way.

If the S Pen was inserted backwards, it could become stuck in the slot and the pin detection mechanism could be damaged. As a result, many of the Stylus features on the Galaxy Note 5 would be useless, even if the pen has been removed from its slot. An unfortunate design errors in an otherwise excellent phone.

The warning is almost impossible to miss as it appears in the upper right corner of the screen.

Now, as the first detected by a unboxing video from YouTube users J. Williams, Samsung includes a warning to users not to insert the S Pen backwards on the plastic foil of the phone.

Even if the user does not see the warning, Samsung has at least made it clear that the S pen should not be the wrong way.

Samsung will certainly design a fail safe for the next iteration of the galaxy note, but for now, a warning sign is all the protection of users. We hope that Samsung looks for a possible software update, your phone to sound a warning if the wrong end of the pin inserted on, but it might be hard to protection against false alarms.

Until then, Note 5 owners should be careful and probably fail give their phones to their children, even for short periods of time.

Rice can actually save your wet phone?

Rice can actually save your wet phone

Put your wet phone in rice will probably not save. But do it anyway

recently, during a weekend in upstate New York, I jumped into a lake with my shorts on. Unbeknownst to me, my ailing iPhone 5S SAT closely in my pocket. At some point during my swim, the phone slipped and vanished. I had no idea where it went to 26 hours later, when a swimmer noticed the phone the reflective Apple Logo winking at him from the lake the muddy ground. He was fishing it out and solemnly presents its soaking, lifeless corpse to me. "I'm sorry," he said.

"Jasmine, grain, risotto, dark, wild, or Basmati, put it in rice"

no matter how weak the perspective of revival, all wet telephone calls the same folk remedy: in rice, my friends were saying. Put it in rice, my parents said, and leave it there for at least a day. Jasmine, grain, risotto, dark, wild, or Basmati rice, put it in. So I did: I found an abandoned box of Uncle Ben's, buried under the grains my phone, put it back in the pantry, and waiting for the rice to work its magic.

In an era of the Genius Bars, man-on-robot Assault and do-it-yourself-handgun drones, the so-called rice Trick feels like a kernel of the ancient wisdom, passed on from generation to generation. You can almost imagine that our ancestors were overcooked your precious, mushy rice in burlap bags a long time ago. But where has the rice trick - and does it really work?

In July 2007, less than a month after the first iPhone was released, a MacRumors Forum member by the name of the jorsuss launches a thread called "I went in the water my iPhone" with a well known fairy tales: "I was the review of the phone, all calls or messages if i, and I went there in the coil." Jorsuss covered, the telephone with rice in what may have been the first documented attempt to use the rice trick on an iPhone. It did not work, but it is a proof that the method exists, before the iPhone, even if the details of the technology were fuzzy - "the rice, cooked or uncooked if he too dry, a water-soaked cell phone?" she asked a user on Yahoo Answers to the time.

A month earlier, in June 2007, Washington Post Reporter threw his BlackBerry in a toilet during the preparation for a date. If he helped his phone (and its date) on the rice trick, it deserves a personal account in the paper along with a letter on Lifehacker: "dry soaked from their gadgets in rice." But the Telefon-Speichern tip before the smartphone - back in 2000, at least a user uses it to help him back on Nokia 5130.

"Is the rice, cooked or uncooked?"

keep digging and you finally get to the most likely source of the trick: for many decades, Rice was used to dry the camera equipment and film in tropical locations. In 1996's Yankee magazine's make it last: over 1,000 ingenious ways to extend the life of everything you own, Earl Proulx writes, "If your camera into a warm, humid climate, a defense of rust and mold by some silica gel desiccant (available from the Kamera-Shops ) in a porous sack and save it with your camera equipment and film ... in a pinch of, replacement uncooked rice." In an article by a June 1946 edition of the popular photography, the author writes that while the silica is the preferred method of the attitude of exposed film dry, tea, brown paper, and rice can also work if your moisture capacity is so low that very large quantities are required to bring about a substantial impact." (People  Have been calling into question the power of the rice trick for at least half a century! ).

Photographer M. Scott Brauer, who has previously shot for the Edge, says he was not aware that the use of rice for the storage of film equipment was a "something", but that he himself has done it. A photographer who shot for the Edge, John Francis Peters, had never heard that the application for the rice Trick said, but it sounded "very interesting."

When the first telephone was immersed into a pile dry rice is impossible to say - but it is an ironic symmetry in the fact that we are still at the method, to our primary photography equipment safe.

So does the trick work? In 2014, Gazelle.com ran a semi-formal test that it is not. Of the seven budget desiccant you tested, uncooked rice was the least absorbent, behind cat litter, couscous, oatmeal and instant rice. Unless you are willing to earn more money, so that your phone to air-dry on a shelf, they may be the best option.

Craig architect's office, co-founder of TekDry, a company with "Not electronic device emergency services," says so too. TekDry has developed a stylish machine, is similar to a suitcase and negative pressure and low heat used to distribute active liquids from a properly impregnated telephone in about 20 minutes. In the past year, TekDry instructs consulting group DTJ on research into the effectiveness of rice. "In the experimental measurements, just a little more water evaporation was lost from the marshy device in an open space in the enclosure as in a container of rice", the study concludes. Of course, that the study should be in line with a modicum salt etc. . The research has been fully financed by a company whose business depends on the rice trick as ineffective.

The rice trick, because it sounds right, even if it does not, regardless of the

evidence, the rice trick, because it sounds right, even if it does not: Rice absorbs water; absorb water is the key to save a telephone, so rice save your phone. And each time, when a phone is in a toilet or sink, the trick is re-transmitted, from parents to children, from friend to Friend. Numerous references speak for the effectiveness of the rice. I have my own: I have personally dried my mobile phone in rice a number of times - once I have quinoa. It worked every time. Every time I repeat these stories, which I freely, I contribute, the rice trick of the myth.

The rice Trick has a unique and very powerful feature. The worst thing you can do to a wet phone, turn it on, before it dries completely - This is handy first-degree murder. In contrast to leave the phone on a sunny windowsill, the rice trick the phone out of sight, and perhaps for the meaning. The grains can not guard the device from the destructive forces of water, but the trick works temporarily remove a far more dangerous element: us and our impatient, Tech-driven neuroses. Spending 12 hours, 24 hours, or even a couple of days - depending on the instructions follow - without your phone can be tough. After you view it in plain text is more difficult. We are trying to power up too early, and to kill, something that we need.

But if we believe in the rice trick, we give it is time the work of his magic - time, perhaps the telephone with or without rice. In fact, the rice trick works, because we believe that it works.

Twenty-four hours after I took my phone into the box of rice, I pulled it out, loaded it up, and press the POWER button. I was stunned: The screen lights up and asked me back in my Apple ID. I did, and the entire system will boot properly: The camera didn't work, as well as the microphone and the speaker. Under the Screen, I could see pockets of moisture; and finally, the majority of them will evaporate. Within three days, it was hardly a track, my phone had spent a full day play U-boot. My phone was swimming with the fishes. But it was the electronic living dead. Spooky.

"It was the electronic living dead"

On Monday I braced in that office with my resuscitated the threshold as a modern telephone Dr. Frankenstein, down our throats my own freak of science. A whole day! At the bottom of a lake! My colleagues asked the inevitable question: Do you have it in rice? I have, I said. Of course, you have said, that is the trick always works.

But two weeks later, my cell phone has been slow responding. Then, one evening, they stopped receiving a signal completely, the word "Browse ... " tattooed permanently in the upper-left corner of the screen. I brought it to my provider, where a lady tries to do and the start and restart of the device ad infinitum. After 45 minutes, she turned to me, visibly frustrated. "Sir," she asked me, with a strip of distrust in her voice, "You have this phone wet?"

You can now buy Star Wars' lovely BB-8 droid and leave that patrol the house at the time

BB-8 Sphero

of this writing, holed up in a small office, I can hear a quiet hum coming and going in the ground. In reality, it is a quiet humming sound followed by a thunk less quiet plastic meets plaster wall, followed by a short break where my phonetics focuses on the emotional various sounds that emanate from my phone's speaker.

This may be the most curious way to "enjoy" a toy is without doubt one of the more passive, but Sphero the BB-8 is not a toy, but that is a very simple robot interpreter of Pixar of aspirations. The droid $149.99 , will go on sale this Friday in Apple's retail stores, Best Buy, and Sphero the own website (don't worry, it's compatible with Android, also).  That's a pretty hefty price, but the BB-8 Sphero offers something few Star Wars toys have been able to remove: captures the personality of the Android, and it says everything to where Sphero wants to push robotics in the future.

If the trailers are designed to create hype of a film, a Star Wars trailer serves to excite a whole platform for multimedia entertainment. From the beginning, the mythos of Star Wars has been equal, with displays of magic and out of the screen. In the ' 70s and ' 80s, is largely dominated by Kenner action figures, and the merchandising of Star Wars but it has remained a massive force, in 2011, the license makes an estimated $3 billion, and this year is about to be unusually large, thanks in large part to the Force wakes up, the first Star Wars film since 2005'S Revenge of the Sith. The new elements of force awakens the trailers? A cross of a lightsaber and a very nice soccer ball with a robot. This is a moment big enough in Star Wars write me that Disney has done a global event of unboxing all tie in the case of toys, an event that is described as "force Friday."

"The War of the galaxies has been always the same film and goods"

but although this type of dish is perhaps old hat of Hasbro and Lego is a new sense of Sphero. The company was founded in 2010 (then called Orbotix) and has published a handful of products since: the Sphero holder (an orb can be controlled with the phone), the cylindrical building Ollie, and several variations of each, all interesting ideas, but nothing of what has been found the commercial success of general use. With the BB-8 toy, this is all you need to change.

Sphero collaboration with Disney began last summer when he joined the Disney accelerator program. It is a strange movement of a child of four years in the market company products placed on the market, but it is obviously a smart. As creative officer tells us Rob Maigret, one of the mentors of the Sphero was none other than Disney CEO Bob Iger, who has shown great ability for acquisition (read: profitable) talent, including Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm. (Maigret was another mentor, joining the company after the program.) At its first meeting, Iger (apparently) showed the Sphero co-founders a image of BB-8 and challenged them to make a working version, which the duo (again, apparently) achievement conceptualize in about 24 hours. (The version in the film, however, is more puppets of robotics.)

Star Wars toys

BB-8BB-8 SpheroBB-8 SpheroIt is not surprising that the basis of BB8 is essentially the flagship product of the company

paint. In addition the biggest liability is the carrier - a piece of plastic with small wheels "connected" magnetically in the orb. (For those who want to be picky, the head is proportionally less than the "doppelgänger" alternates, in the screen.) is a key addition and, like that of the film model BB-8, gives his personality. As John Lasseter classic red animated short the Dream

, which starred a unicycle, having a little joint allows you BB-8 emote in identifiable forms.

As in previous products Sphero, a smartphone is essential in order to interact with BB-8: all the interface (and in fact all the sound effects) occurs through an iOS device or Android. BB-8 can be inaccurate, i dare say "moody" - the way in which it responds to manual driving. This is particularly true when you start; it seems that there is a pre-programd maneuver when it is going backwards for a few seconds too long, as if it is "liquidation" of move (and to be fair, this thing of top speed is very fast).  Once in motion, however, the direction becomes quite intuitive. BB-8 also has several patterns that may trigger, such as the figure eight, but what is even more important is that you can transmit several "emotions" as nodding yes, shaking his head no, and something that either joy or panic, i'm still not sure. Reportedly, you can use voice commands to as well, although we couldn't get it to work in the initial version of the application that we have used.

Then there is no way to patrol. Left to its own devices, BB-8 wanders around the room without a directive. Does not have a camera (once again, the head is only plastic), so for the majority of cases only around until it hits a wall, the pissy act (that is my interpretation at least), and then go to another sense. I would not recommend leaving it on the tables and other elevated surfaces, but if not, it is worth mentioning that the thing has been quite durable so far. (Its effectiveness on a carpet is variable, pending your word tissue of choice.)

Sphero makes a lot of bold statements on the packaging, the main one of which "holographic communication", but which in reality is a augmented reality video - either a X-wing model or some small video recorded with a camera on the front, that you can see the pointer. It is nice, but you'll probably only try it once.

Star Wars toys

But for all the bells and whistles, the BB-8 main directive is really only a ball of cuteness, to make you feel something of emotion and attributed a algorithmically driven device. Even when you re not using BB-8, the droid, look around, as if it is impatiently waiting for you to give it instructions. The first time that I have set in its charging cradle, suddenly began the "look around", twisting and shaking her head erratically as if you are trying to find out their environment. It was a shock to me and some other work colleagues, but this is a new approach of Sphero in personality of their products. "We believe that this is probably the first step for Sphero," said Inspector Maigret, reflecting on the company instead of ambitious goals for the future. "We believe that ultimately there will be a robot in every house, that each one will have a companion."

Maigret knows the dreams are a form, but you can see the very, very soon the roots of the ideas in BB-8. As a new level of Star Wars merchandising, the droid stands out as a convenient and capable.

Sincerely hope there is something fascinating seeing out of their own. I can't say how long it will be the novelty, but i could easily see in the i with the autopilot and to enjoy the occasional catches that makes something rare and beautiful. It is like a cat, in that sense.

"We believe that ultimately there will be a robot in every house that we all will have a companion."

But BB-8 also represents something new merchandising of Star Wars. Without doubt, other matches with the passage of the years have reached or even exceeded the mark of $150, but in many ways, this feels like a different kind of article of luxury, one, perhaps, for the generations that i remember seeing in the cinemas of Star Wars (Original Trilogy or the new trilogy) and have a bit of disposable income now. This is not a static action figure; Sphero the BB-8 is designed to move and emote even when you're not actively participating, which ultimately, is the reason to consider. And who knows? By the time episode XXIV cinemas, perhaps we will have friends autonomous robots. By now, however, it's just a ball of cuteness, a rare interesting ball of cuteness, though.
