The full list of scheduled dates and times f

Travis Scott turns Fortnite into Astroworld, previews new song

Protect your Fortnite account, add two-factor authentication

Fortnite is one of the most popular games on the planet and compromised accounts and scams are sadly, a thing. Here's how to protect your Epic account as best you can. Usually, if something looks too good to be true, it is. And this is exactly what's been known to happen with Fortnite, Epic Games' smash-hit with its free-to-play Battle Royale mode. The Fortnite in-game currency, Vbucks, is the only way to buy the cosmetic items, such as outfits, gliders, pickaxes and emotes. But Vbucks cost real money for the most part. What you earn in the game doesn't go that far. Enter the unscrupulous people of the internet and multiple "free-Vbucks, click-here" scams, or nefarious people just flat out hacking and stealing from accounts. Here's an important thing to remember: There are no free Vbucks. Epic Games has confirmed this. Unless you're winning some in a competition from, say, a well-known streamer, or being rewarded directly by Epic Games, the fre

Leaker Says Apple Planning iPad Air With Under-the-Screen Touch ID, ARM-Based 12-Inch MacBook, Game Controller, and More

An anonymous Twitter account with a fairly accurate track record has shared details about several Apple products that are supposedly under development. Some of the products mentioned by the account have not been extensively rumored until now, including a new iPad Air with under-the-screen Touch ID, an ARM-based 12-inch MacBook, and an Apple game controller by 2021. On March 12, the account claimed that Apple is developing so-called "AirPods X" headphones, as leaker Jon Prosser later mentioned on April 7. the new iPad Air will be using the mini led screen, comes with full screen with no notch, not Face ID,but Touch ID under the screen — 有没有搞措 (@L0vetodream) March 10, 2020 Apple is developing their own game controller — 有没有搞措 (@L0vetodream) March 8, 2020 大致布局应该是这样的: airpods 3lite apple tv airtag iPhone9 A13 imac macbook 12 arm mac mini ipad pro 11 12.9 tof airpods X头戴式耳机 无线充电板 homepod lite ipad air4 全面屏11寸带指纹 ipad 2020 A12 游戏手柄 iPhone12 lite iP

'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare' multiplayer is free this weekend

Smitten by Call of Duty: Warzone, but not sure if the rebooted Modern Warfare is worth the price of admission? Good news: for three days, the multiplayer portion of Infinity Ward's latest shooter is going free-to-play . Download Warzone (if you haven't already) and Modern Warfare's multiplayer offerings will unlock at roughly 1PM ET/10AM PT/7PM CET on April 3rd. To celebrate this so-called "multiplayer moshpit," Infinity Ward has developed a special playlist called Stocked Up, Locked Down that cycles through two maps, Atlas Superstore and Shoot House, and a range of modes including Team Deathmatch, Domination and Hardpoint. The free multiplayer access will expire on April 6th at 1PM ET/10AM PT/7PM CET. It's a nice gesture, and one that Activision no doubt hopes will persuade more people to buy Modern Warfare. Unlike Blackout, which required Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Warzone is completely free-to-play. That decision has helped the battle royale newcomer rack u

'Fortnite' gets a bullet-stopping 'Kingsman' umbrella

Epic's current Fortnite season is focused on secret agents, and that now includes direct references to movies -- if not the ones you're likely to think of first. An update to the battle royale shooter has introduced a Kingsman umbrella that,... Source: https://ift.tt/2yhQ0wO

'Flight Simulator' developers explain its 'shared world' multiplayer

Last year we got some hands-on time with a pre-alpha build of the next Flight Simulator game in Microsoft's long-running series. While that gave a peek at the game's photorealistic environment and inclusion of information like piped-in live flight traffic and weather data, Windows Central points out a seven-minute video the developers just posted that goes into the game's multiplayer features. The main mode is a shared world where everyone playing Flight Simulator can potentially see everyone else, relying on Azure servers to provide enough capacity. That includes people flying in the real world, with "most" air traffic accounted for, along with AI that will take over if information from the real plane is lost for a moment. To play in that mode you'll have to turn on real-time weather as it's happening, however the real-time air traffic can be turned on or off. If you don't want to use the default settings and rules, then turning to "all p

Do you need Valve Index Knuckles controllers for Half Life: Alyx?

Best Answer: No. Valve has worked to ensure that Half-Life: Alyx is an amazing experience no matter what VR hardware you're playing on. Controllers with touch sensors will deliver a more "authentic" experience for Alyx's in-game hands. However, the actual gameplay won't be very different, even if you're still rocking a first-generation HTC Vive. A powerful VR experience: Oculus Rift S (From $399 at B&H Photo) How does the experience differ? You may be wondering how Half-Life: Alyx's gameplay experience might differ depending on what hardware you're using to experience it. Thanks to Valve's efforts to make Half-Life: Alyx as accessible as possible, you'll have a great experience playing the game no matter if you are using Valve Index controllers, HTC Vive controllers, Oculus Touch controllers, or even Windows Mixed Reality controllers. Part of the magic comes in Valve's software excellence. The Half-Life: Alyx team has worked

NASCAR's virtual race was the most-watched esports TV show to date

NASCAR and Fox Sports might have started airing virtual races out of pandemic-induced necessity, but it appears their efforts paid off. Fox has revealed that the inaugural eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series race on March 22nd drew 903,000 viewers on FS1, making it the highest-rated esports TV program to date. It was also the most-watched broadcast on FS1 since mass sports event cancellations on March 12th and the most-watched sports broadcast on cable that Sunday, although those last two feats weren't too difficult given the dearth of live sports. Accordingly, Fox has committed to cover the rest of the season, starting with a race at a simulated Texas Motor Speedway on March 29th at 1PM Eastern. It'll air on both the Fox broadcast network as well as FS1 and the Fox Sports app. There's little doubt that NASCAR and Fox had the advantages of both an audience with nowhere to go as well as a bevy of real-world pro drivers, including race winner Denny Hamlin. Microsoft Research prototypes modular mobile Xbox controller on video

While this may never be an actual product, it's a tantalizing showcase that Microsoft is at least exploring ways to improve Xbox gaming on mobile devices. A while ago, we covered some patents from Microsoft Research that prototyped how a split-style Xbox controller could clip onto a variety of devices to provide more tactile controls. While the controller never made it to production (that we're aware of ...), some other companies have developed similar products, such as the Razer Junglecat and Razer Kishi. While we've seen some patent images previously, Microsoft has now uploaded an old demonstration video to its Microsoft Research YouTube archive. This does not mean the prototypes are coming to production, but it's a cool concept that shows that Microsoft is at least exploring ways to elevate Xbox gaming on mobile devices. The research video is from all the way back in 2018, and Microsoft describes it as a versatile option for more tactile mobile gaming, not
