HTC Nexus 9 Android L 'Lollipop' passes through the FCC before launch

Google is struggling to keep details about his upcoming Nexus smartphone and tablet based L-secret Android. The HTC built Nexus September just passed through the FCC, indicating that the device is about to be officially revealed.  When Google entered the tablet market in 2012, it was part of the Nexus smartphone brand welcomed company. Like the phones received high praise for its combination of impressive specifications, stock Android, timely and regular updates directly from Google, and an affordable price. The Nexus 7 has remained more popular Google Nexus tablet in the program series. The company has not released an update to the Board since July 2013 and many Android fans have been waiting patiently for a new tablet Nexus to replace the 2013 model and not have to wait much longer to be introduced to a new tablet Nexus and the first expected to be available with Android L "Lollipop" out of the box and built by HTC. We first reported on the tablet in March and exp

Android and Windows Phone have unique capabilities, but the Apple iPhone 6 Plus is still best

Summary: Today's modern smartphone operating systems are all worthy of consideration and there are benefits to all of them not found on the others. The more I continue to use the new Apple iPhone 6 Plus the more I am convinced it is the smartphone for me. However, as a regular Windows Phone and Android user, there are still a few things I do miss from these two mobile platforms. Prior to the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus announcements, I listed five things I doubted would come to the new iPhone and was thankfully proven wrong by three of the five. The iPhone 6 Plus comes with VoLTE support (on T-Mobile and Verizon), long battery life, and NFC. Granted NFC is still very limited, actually you can't even use it until Apple Pay launches. The price of Android and Windows Phone smartphones is much less than the iPhone 6 Plus and a benefit of both operating systems. Looking at the true full price you will find high end Android smartphones priced $150 to $250 less than the 16

How to ditch Android and join the side of Apple

Now that Apple has a bigger, better iPhone 6 and 6 Plus , we suspect lots of big screen Android Fans can defect to iOS . (Apparently Apple thinks so too ) . But while the mobile exchange is a type of headache, change the phone and change the operating systems level can induce pain of migraine if you is not prepared properly.   But you will be prepared . Since you can not miss your calendar events to your favorite applications , here is how to make the most important in the transition from Android to iOS in top condition mobile needs. Mail, Calendar and Contacts If you keep your life in sync with the cloud- based Google ecosystem transfer Android to iOS is relatively easy. You will need to create an Apple ID when you first start your journey iOS (if not already have an iTunes account ) , but you can add your Google account once the initial configuration of your phone is finished. To do this, go to

Now you can have the design of Apple Watch Wear your watch on Android

In March , Google announced Android Wear,   a project that extends the mobile operating system to take over the company , starting with support for specific watches. A number of major brands have already used wear their watches , and some developers even let you create your own custom Android sphere of wear. In fact , WearFaces is one such service , which allows you to customize your SmartWatch , either a Gear Samsung , LG G or Moto 360 .   To help demonstrate this customization , WearFaces has launched the PEAR watchfaces for Android that are , erm , 100 % original and bears zero resemblance to another product tech fruity . Someone has already created a design style clock on your Apple Moto 360 also .   WearFaces has created a round and square versions of the design to meet different clocks based on Android and can be downloaded from here . It is worth noting that this is only one face of the watch - the icons a

Apple introduces new iPhones, SmartWatch, software

For the first time in years, Apple iPhones were not the star of the show . Apple released a SmartWatch Tuesday, a portable device that marks the first major entry of the company into a new product category since the debut of the iPad in 2010 .   The move is significant due to recent questions about whether Apple still has the ability to innovate after the death of 2,011 co -founder Steve Jobs. The introduction of two new device eclipsed the iPhones , larger company that does not quite have larger screens ; they will have a new landscape mode to take advantage of the larger screen . The iPhone 6 will have a screen that measures 4.7 inches , while the iPhone 6 Plus will be 5.5 inches. In both cases, application developers can design applications that can be viewed differently when the phone is horizontal. Apple also introduced a system to use the phone to make credit card payments in retail stores . Apple is tu

Microsoft In Talks To Buy Shoutcast And Winamp From AOL

Winamp Looks like the llama may not get off so easily after all. AOL yesterday announced that it was shutting down Winamp, media playing software for Windows and Android devices that it picked up through its 1999, $80 million acquisition of Nullsoft in 1999. But today Techcrunch has learned that AOL is talks with Microsoft to sell Winamp, along with Shoutcast, a media streaming service also developed by Nullsoft. We have also learned that AOL has been planning to announce the closure of Shoutcast next week. AOL has declined to comment for this story, and we are still waiting to hear back from Microsoft with a response. From what we understand, the deal is not yet finalized, with AOL and Microsoft still working out the price. It could also be very wishful thinking from those intent on trying to save both services. AOL did not give any guidance yesterday on what would happen with Shoutcast. If this is correct, it would represent an interesting, and strange, twist
