Drop everything: Apple MacBook Air M1 Cyber Monday deal is the cheapest we've ever seen

This MacBook Air M1 deal may be the best Cyber Monday deal we've ever seen, with Amazon cutting the price of the base model to just £829 - the cheapest we've ever seen it. In the US, we've seen a similarly low deal for the M1 MacBook Air for just $734.99 , though this is with a smaller 128GB SSD (the UK model has double at 256GB). The US model is also refurbished. (Not in the UK or US? Scroll down for deals in your region). The MacBook Air (M1, 2020) has been our pick for the best laptop in the world since it launched two years ago, only having recently been replaced with the newer M2 model (which is also more expensive). We've seen a couple of MacBook Air M1 deals quickly go out of stock, and none of them are as cheap as this one, and you're not going to find a laptop this good for this cheap anywhere else, as far as we're concerned. Stock is selling out fast, however! Today's best MacBook Air deals MacBook Air (M1, 2020): was £999 now

The iPhone 15 Pro could get solid-state volume and power buttons

The iPhone 15 is still a long way off, but we've already heard numerous rumors about it. New to the pile is an analyst prediction that the Pro models are going to get solid-state, haptic buttons that don't physically move and sit flush with the body of the phones. That's as per Barclays analysts Blayne Curtis and Tom O'Malley, based in part on comments made by Cirrus Logic CEO John Forsyth (via MacRumors ). Cirrus Logic already supplies some of the haptic technology that is in the current iPhones. The company has mentioned new components coming to market in the second half of next year, which coincidentally is when Apple is going to be bringing out new iPhones, and... well, you can see why people are joining the dots. Click or twist These buttons use vibrations to simulate the sensation of them being touched, even though they don't actually move – see also the trackpads on newer MacBook models, and the home buttons on the recent iPhone SE phones. Windows 11 gaming bug has been cured – but not for everyone

Windows 11’s latest version has suffered at the hands of a bug that messes quite badly with gaming performance for some users, leading to the 22H2 update being blocked on those PCs to prevent the problem manifesting – but the good news is that upgrade block has now been partially lifted. In case you missed this one, the Windows 11 22H2 bug in question caused “lower than expected performance” with some games (and indeed other software), including stuttering frame rates (a seriously off-putting phenomenon). This was due to GPU debugging features errantly being used on the affected PCs. As Neowin noticed, Microsoft has not actually fixed this issue – yet – but has added a fresh note to its release health dashboard which states the following: “The safeguard hold with the safeguard ID of 41990091 has been updated to only safeguard Windows devices which have one of the small subset of games and apps which are still affected by this issue.” What this means is that a lot of Windows 11

Hackers take down EU Parliament site in apparent DDoS attack

Russian hackers have attacked the website of the European Union’s Parliament and managed to take it offline for several hours. Anonymous Russia, an arm of the pro-Russian hacktivist group Killnet, reportedly launched a Distributed Denial of Service ( DDoS ) attack against the website of the European Parliament. European Parliament President Roberta Metsola confirmed the incident on Twitter, adding that its, "IT experts are pushing back against it & protecting our systems." EU Parliament resolution "The availability of Europarl_EN website is currently impacted from outside due to high levels of external network traffic," Dauche was cited saying. The Samsung Galaxy S23 could have satellite communications and a super bright screen

We’re likely just a few months away from the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S23 line, but as usual many of the new features and improvements might be rumored before launch, with two potential upgrades having just been leaked. First up, there’s the potential for the Samsung Galaxy S23 line to support satellite communications in some form. This comes from a report on ETNews , which states that Samsung is working with Iridium - a global satellite communications company – to provide this functionality on the Galaxy S23 line. While Iridium is capable of providing voice and data communication services, Samsung will reportedly be limiting the S23’s satellite skills to text messages and small images, due to only being able to put a small antenna in a phone. That might sound restrictive, but it should be enough to help you reach out to contacts or the emergency services in situations where there’s no cell signal. Today’s other Samsung Galaxy S23 leak relates specifically to the Samsung Gala
