If you're looking for a fun gaming fix on the go, why not Fortnite for mobile?
The Epic Games Battle Royale shooter has been available on both iOS and Android devices since 2018. It has transferred the popular game to a wide range of pocket-sized smartphones and tablets.
Getting Fortnite on the phone was a breeze. Fortnite Battle Royale's runaway success, with 100 players appearing as the last fighters on an island map, has already been very successful on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

So Fortnite Mobile is a real thing, and if you're reading this, it's because you want to jump right into the Epic Games mobile game. To that end, we've put together a step-by-step guide to starting your Fortnite mobil…

watchOS 7, tvOS 14, iOS 14 could debut new workout demonstration app

Image
Apple is doubling-down again on health and fitness in its operating systems, and appears to be building an app to help users walk through different workouts, and perform them safely.

The app, reportedly called "Seymour," looks to be a separate app from the Activity app. At present, it looks like it will be launched alongside iOS 14, watchOS 7, and tvOS 14. It isn't clear how much data the two apps will pass between each other at this time.

"Seymour" is said to allow users to download fitness videos, with specific guidance provided on how to get proper credit for completion on the Apple Watch. While the download can be triggered on the Apple Watch, it appears that a larger screen, such as a television with an Apple TV, an iPad, or iPhone will be required to view the videos —which makes sense, given the size of the Apple Watch screen.

According to MacRumors who spotted the app on Monday night, workouts included are core training, cycling, strength training, some…

Peloton for iOS now supports Chromecast

Image
Peloton’s iPhone and iPad users can now Chromecast workouts to larger screens.

The Peloton for iOS app now supports Chromecast so you can stream your workouts from a larger screen. Previously, this feature was only available to Android users while the Peloton bike was only able to cast classes to a supported device via Miracast, which meant that iOS users were left out of the functionality entirely.

With the update, iOS users can now cast their classes to a screen that supports Chromecast or a TV with the Chromecast dongle plugged in. The move comes as Peloton, having gone public last year, said it would be working to make its classes more accessible from more devices and price points. A digital-only subscription to Peloton costs $12.99 a month, allowing users to workout with their own home or gym bikes or treadmills.

To cast classes onto your Chromecast-supported screen, open up the class you want to take and look for the Chromecast icon on the upper right corner. Select it and choose…

iOS cracking tools reportedly used by FBI released to public

Image
Last year, the FBI ordered Apple to help crack the iPhone 5c owned by Syed Farook, one of the shooters in the 2015 attacks in San Bernardino. Apple refused, and the FBI reportedly worked with Cellebrite, an Israeli firm that specializes in mobile security. According to a statement from Celelbrite last month, a hacker breached one of its legacy servers. Now the hacker has released some of that data as a warning to the FBI. The data released includes code that seems to relate to Cellebrite's Universal Forensic Extraction Device (UFED), and can allegedly crack older iPhones like the 5c as well as Android and Blackberry devices. Speaking anonymously to Motherboardthe hacker explained that simply creating these tools makes their release inevitable, where they can be used by anyone with technical knowledge, including oppressive regimes around the world. "It's important to demonstrate that when you create these tools, they will make it out. History should make that clear,"…

Apple products are not only hot selling items this holiday, they are also popular online buying tools
Apple shares rose to the highest level this year as investors bet products like the latest iPads and iPhones will be hot sellers this holiday, helping the consumer technology giant kick-start earnings growth again.

The stock climbed 1.9% to $556.07 Friday. Earlier in the day, it touched $594.59, a 2013 high.

Apple unveiled two new iPhones earlier this year and more recently launched the new iPad Air and an upgraded iPad mini.

The iPad mini was among top sellers at Walmart on Thanksgiving, while Target said the iPad Air was a hot item at its stores. On eBay.com, one iPad was selling every second as of midnight on Thanksgiving.

"Apple products should be the holiday gift of choice this year," said Brian Marshall, an analyst at ISI Group. "The company has a great product cycle currently, the stock is cheap and we expect $600 within the next several months."
