Ex-Apple exec is now at Microsoft to help with HoloLens, AI and more

Is Microsoft about to start a new phase of HoloLens and Mixed Reality? Some recent hires suggest yes. Microsoft seems to be ramping up its team for HoloLens , Mixed Reality, and AI. Bloomberg is breaking the news that Ruben Caballero is now corporate vice president, Hardware Design & Technology at Microsoft, according to his updated LinkedIn page . Caballero worked for Apple until early 2019, where he had been focusing on wireless tech. Specifically, …" developing wireless technology, such as antennas inside of devices like iPhones, iPads, and Macs. He also oversaw Apple's global wireless product testing efforts." For the last year, or so, he had been doing advisory work: After leaving Apple, Caballero became an adviser at several Silicon Valley-area startups, including wireless company Keyssa and Humane, a startup run by former Apple employees. Agritech startup DeHaat raises $12M to reach more farmers in India

DeHaat, an online platform that offers full-stack agricultural services to farmers, has raised $12 million as it looks to scale its network across India. The Series A financial round for the eight-year-old Patna and Gurgaon-based startup was led by Sequoia Capital India. Dutch entrepreneurial development bank FMO, and existing investors Omnivore and AgFunder, also participated in the round. The startup, which began to seek funding from external investors last year, has raised $16 million to date and $3 million in venture debt. DeHaat (which means village in Hindi) eases the burden on farmers by bringing together brands, institutional financers and buyers on one platform, explained Shashank Kumar, co-founder and chief executive of the startup, in an interview with TechCrunch. Review: Ready for Final Fantasy 7 to define yet another generation?

I've just come out of the other side of Final Fantasy VII Remake. I am blown away. As I write this, I have quite literally just finished Final Fantasy VII Remake, which has been in development at Square Enix for several years. Based on the legendary title of the same name from 1997, a potential Final Fantasy VII Remake had been rumored for well over a decade before finally breaking cover at E3 back in 2015. The fact that it's finally here, now, fully realized in 2020 feels almost like a dream. Final Fantasy VII's remake is virtually without precedent. While we have seen games remade over the years, arguably none were as beloved, as iconic, and as potentially large and complex as Final Fantasy VII, which was in its own right a sprawling, multi-faceted RPG of its heyday.
