Pixel 6 owners say their phones are automatically rejecting some incoming calls

Photo by Amelia Holowaty Krales Odd issues have popped up following software updates Google’s released for its latest flagship phones frequently enough for us to look into why Android 12 has been so buggy for certain phones . Now some Pixel owners report that their phones are failing to complete a fairly basic task — ringing when there’s an incoming call. Unlike the issue with notification vibrations suddenly changing without explanation , this isn’t something we’ve been able to confirm. However, posts on Reddit (via Android Central and Phone Arena ) and Google’s support forums describe issues where some incoming calls seem to be silently rejected, sending the caller directly to voicemail. Pixel 6 Pro is declining calls from contacts without me knowing from GooglePixel Their call log indicates that an incoming call was “declined,” when in fact, the phone didn’t ring, and they all claim they don’t have any Do Not Disturb setting or other feature enabled that might block the

A Streets of Rage movie is coming from the creator of John Wick

A movie based on the classic Streets of Rage game series is in the works, according to a report from Deadline . John Wick creator Derek Kolstad reportedly wrote the script on spec (without a studio deal), while the production company behind the Sonic the Hedgehog films will produce the adaption. Escape Artists, the studio behind The Equalizer franchise, is also on board to produce the film, Deadline reports. Streets of Rage was first released for the SEGA Genesis back in 1991, with Streets of Rage 2 and 3 launching on its heels in 1992 and 1994. In each game, you play as badass vigilantes punching the crap out of villains polluting the streets of the city. The fourth installment of the side-scrolling beat-’em-up came out in 2020, 26 years after the third game. As my colleague Andrew Webster notes in his review , it still manages to capture the same retro feel as the original trio of games, and I’d imagine this is what the modern film adaption of the series may look like. How a Sonic fanfic writer ended up leading Sonic Frontiers

While we still know little about Sonic Frontiers, the first open-world adventure for the super-fast hedgehog, there is a good reason to hope it will be something special: one of the main writers on the title is Ian Flynn, a big name in the Sonic community, and chief writer on Archie Comic’s Sonic the Hedgehog series and lead writer on IDW Publishing’s Sonic the Hedgehog comics. Flynn’s path to Sonic Frontiers gives hope Sonic fans (or any fans, really) can, with perseverance, luck, and talent, one day help create the thing they love. Flynn’s love of Sonic started when his dad brought home a Sega Genesis and Sonic the Hedgehog 2. A passion for the cartoons and comics quickly followed. “They got me hooked young,” Flynn tells us. Throughout college and working on his English degree, Flynn remained a fan of the blue hedgehog. But on the other side, he panicked: “‘What does one actually do with an English degree?’ I asked myself.” So he decided to try and mix his passions and write a

T-Mobile sounds the alarm over unblockable SMS phishing attacks

Mobile network operator T-Mobile has warned its users of an unblockable smishing campaign that aims to steal their personal information and passwords , or install malware . According to a BleepingComputer report, T-Mobile warned its users after the company was itself alerted by the New Jersey Cybersecurity / Communications Integration Cell (NJCCIC), an arm of the Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness working on cybersecurity threat analysis and incident reporting.  The NJCCIC was approached by “multiple” customers, who had received group SMS messages pretending to be from T-Mobile. The message thanked the recipient for paying their bills on time and offered a free “gift”, to be claimed via the web link provided. The iPhone 14 launch is likely to mean the end for the iPhone 11

The arrival of the iPhone 14 later this year will mean the iPhone 11 gets shunted out of Apple's smartphone range, according to one tipster – so if you want the older phone then you've got a few months left to get it direct from Apple. Sources speaking to iDropNews say that the iPhone 11 will be gone after the iPhone 14 range appears – not only due to its age but also because it potentially takes away sales from the iPhone SE (2022) that Apple launched in March. Apparently, the iPhone 11 has sold more than the new iPhone SE since the latter phone arrived. The iPhone SE (2022) is the cheaper model of the pair, but the iPhone 11 has the more modern-looking design and features an extra camera on the back too. The price is right At the time of writing, the starting price for the iPhone 11 on Apple's website is $499 / £489 / AU$849 with 64GB of storage, compared with $429 / £419 / AU$719 for this year's iPhone SE with the same 64GB of storage on board.
