Similar to La Liga, the 2020/21 Premier League season kicked off on September 12, around five weeks later than usual. That's both due to the previous season not being played to completion until July as well as Europa League and Champions League football having been postponed until August. It's also likely that England's UEFA Nations League fixtures against Iceland and Denmark taking place earlier this month has influenced the later-than-usual kick-off.

How to stream 2020/21 Premier League matches live in the UK

As it stands, no fans will be allowed to attend Premier League fixtures for the foreseeable future as England continues to battle with the coronavirus pandemic. That doesn't mean you have to miss out on the action, though, with games being broadcast each week. In fact, similar to the end of last season, all Premier League games will be televised until fans can return to stadiums with the traditional Saturday 3pm TV blackout being lifted.

The majority of the matches will be split between via the league's three major broadcast partners in the UK: Sky, BT, and Amazon Prime. It remains to be seen if any games will be available free-to-air as was the case at the end of last season.

The most robust 2020/21 Premier League coverage in the U.S. will be offered by NBCUniversal's new streaming service Peacock. Of the 380 total fixtures, more than 175 will be exclusively shown on Peacock with the other games on NBCSN and other NBC channels. All content presented on NBC Sports Gold's "Premier League Pass" will shift exclusively to Peacock Premium with the start of the 2020-21 Premier League season.
